San Diego Culture: The Gaslamp Quarter is one of San Diego's most popular and thriving neighborhoods. The area is the result of a 1982 project that aimed to revitalize the area without sacrificing the integrity of the classic Victorian architecture. Today, the Gaslamp features an endless amount of shopping, dining, and drinking.

The Gaslamp Quarter is full of historic buildings and modern hotels, all in the shadow of nearby Petco Park and the Convention Center, making this corridor especially popular after baseball games and trade shows.
