Bukit Timah Nature Reserve

Bukit Timah Nature Reserve is Singapore's second ASEAN Heritage Park and strives to be a leader in tropical forest conservation management. While much of the city's original forests have been cleared for logging and cultivation, the nature reserve has remained virtually untouched since the days of Sir Stamford Raffles. Home to four large water reservoirs, 840 flowering plants and 500 species of animals over more than 7,500 acres, Bukit Timah truly showcases Singapore's vast biodiversity. Visitors can begin with an orientation at the Visitor Centre and learn essential information about the native flora and fauna before setting off on the hiking or mountain biking trails.
