Washington Culture: Construction on Washington National Cathedral began in 1907 and to this day it serves the nation as a spiritual center for Americans to unite in prayer and worship. The majestic cathedral is open to the public for tours, and holds mass on Sundays.

National Cathedral features stunning, timeless architecture that also has subtle nods to pop culture. The Space Window on the south aisle contains a piece of lunar rock, and the west tower dons a sculpture of Darth Vader from Star Wars.
