Madrid Culture: The collection consists of approximately 7600 paintings, 1,000 sculptures, 3,000 drawings and 6,400 prints, plus a large number of objects of decorative arts and historical documents. Today, the museum exhibits in their own seat fewer than 1,000 works, while that around 3100 works ('dispersed Prado') are as temporary storage at various museums and institutions, and the rest is kept in warehouses.
