Madrid Culture: The Palacio Real or Royal Palace is no doubt the largest palace in all of Europe. Located just to the east of Madrid's historic center and within walking distance of the Plaza de Espa?a, the Palace features more than 200 rooms, 50 of which can be visited. Inside the Palace, visitors can spend a day at the royal army museum, Arméria Real, which houses an extensive collection of armory, including King Charles V's armor suit.
