New York Culture: The Whitney Museum of American Art holds a collection of 20th- and 21st-century art. Much focus is placed on living artists, and the more than 18,000 works here canvass a wide array of media. 'The Whit', as New Yorkers call it, is famous for their Biennial Exhibition, which is often one of the best on the city's museum calendar.

The museum is home to four floors of exhibition space, with large spaces often devoted to film and video presentations. There is also a restaurant here, Untitled, that serves gourmet brunch, breakfast, and lunch.
