New York Dining: Nobu is known around the world as a hip yet haute sushi and fish joint, but Chef Nobu Matsuhisa saved his flagship effort for Manhattan. The menu draws upon Matsuhisa's experiences growing up in Japan, and studying in Peru and Argentina to offer a unique blend of flavors in every dish.
The interior was designed by David Rockwell, and evokes the beauty of the Japanese countryside with birch trees, wood floors, and a river-stone-covered wall. If the wait here is too long, wander down the street to the relaxing Nobu Next Door.
