Executive Chef Charles Phan ensures that every ingredient used to create his modern Vietnamese dishes is procured from their original locale. He studies the traditional techniques and brings them back to The Slanted Door's kitchen, located in the heart of the Mission District.
The traditional techniques along with Phan's contemporary training and fresh ingredients, results in a faithful replication of Vietnam's time-honored cuisine. In addition to the incredible food, the bar program, headed up by Erik Adkins, won the coveted award for "Best Restaurant Bar in The U.S." during the 2012 Tales of The Cocktail event in New Orleans.
