The diversity of art that has originated in Asia over the centuries is a testament to the many creative voices that call this land home, and their work can be viewed at San Francisco's Asian Art Museum. Exhibitions here feature work that predates the written word, to pieces from last year for an eclectic blend of eastern culture.
The Asian Art Museum is located adjacent to the Civic Center, in the former main library building. This massive building holds 17,000 Asian artworks beyond the grand entrance of the foyer. Each exhibition strives to deliver a captivating experience based on the subject matter.
