San Francisco Things To Do: The USS Pampanito is a WWII submarine that is now a part of the collection at San Francisco's Maritime Museum. The submarine was built in 1943 in Maine and was once stationed at Pearl Harbor. She played a crucial role in the Pacific during the war, sinking several enemy ships.
Also docked in the Maritime Park are a pair of schooners, the Alma and C.A. Thayer, a steam tugboat, paddlewheel boat, and the monstrous square rig sailing ship Balclutha, and several small ships.
