There is plenty to look at while visiting Singapore’s Gardens By the Bay, but their Supertree Grove is definitely our favorite. The massive 82- to 164-foot-tall structures may be artificial themselves, but by providing support for fauna to grow from, they become statuesque vertical gardens. Plus, you can even make a trip to the top of one to check out the view, dine in the Supertree-top bistro or walk along the 72-foot-high, 419-foot-long walkway that connects two of the trees.  ... The Newly-Renovated Ritz Paris Catches Fire, Further Delays Opening Set for March

Talk about bad timing. Early Tuesday morning, the Ritz Paris’ seventh floor caught fire and spread from to the attic and roof. This comes just weeks before the renovated hotel was set to reopen on March 20. Fire crews were alerted of the fire at 7 a.m. local time, and the area was blocked off during rush hour while 60 firefighters and 15 fire engines quickly sprayed the flames. ... Read More

A new $2 billion Ritz-Carlton community in Paradise Valley was just approved by the town council and though it won’t even break ground until the spring, we already can’t wait to see what the brand does with the 122-acre plot of land. Come February Berkeley residents will be welcoming a new restaurant by Michelin two-starred Chef Dominique Crenn into the neighborhood. Antoinette, a French brasserie has taken over the Paragon space inside the newly-renovated, 100-year-old Claremont Club & Spa. The eatery will be a nod to France’s strong women and the indulgent Marie Antoinette. Although the restaurant will be operated by the hotel, Chef Crenn will still have full involvement in its furnishings and menus.
