Guess to Release Fourth Fragrance for Younger Audience

The fourth fragrance by Guess targets a demographic that its luxury fragrance sector hasn't yet tapped. Guess Girl is aimed at an early-20s woman, with a young and flirty eau to prove it. The juice is described as a fruity floral with top notes of raspberry nectar, melon and bargamont mist, a heart of Brazilian Paradise orchid, Provence acacia flower and lily, and a base of Australian sandalwood and Madagascar vanilla. Available in three sizes from $40 to $62, industry sources expect Guess Girl to do about $25 million in net sales globally.

Get Nude and Smell Like Rihanna

These days, singer Rihanna is hot as ever — promoting a new album, getting ready to go on tour, and releasing a new luxury fragrance. “Nude” by Rihanna is the “it” girl’s third bottle, and it goes on sale at Macy’s on Black Friday. Guava nectar, mandarin and pear— the scents of Rihanna’s childhood in Barbados— make up the perfume’s composition, along with orange blossom, gardenia petals and vanilla orchid.

While the juice itself is launching with great anticipation, it’s the product’s ad campaign that is stirring up audiences. While Rihanna looks happy and healthy in cream-colored lingerie, the advertisement is decidedly “too hot” for stores, and an alternate image was created for retail distribution. Additionally, critics are questioning Rihanna for sporting obviously-died platinum blonde strands for a product with a name that suggests going “au naturel.”
