I absolutely LOVE London. It has everything you could possibly want and is NEVER boring. I'm a huge history buff and let's face it, the history of the British Empire is fascinating. I hope to travel back to London in the next year or so. Great article.
Actually I have a couple of favorites. The first is the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas, Texas and the second is The Drake Hotel in Chicago. Both hotels have that Old World Elegance aura.
I agree with your picks for Best Dressed but you forgot to include Viola Davis who was positively DAZZLING in that FABULOUS green Vera Wang gown. Let's face it she owned the red carpet even though she didn't take hope the Oscar.
I reviewed your list of the Best Restaurants in 2012 and although you did include (1) one from my native state of Texas, I must say I was somewhat disappointed in the list. As you probably know there are great restaurants throughout this country. Your list was a little to heavy on the East and West Coast. Also, Texas is so much more than barbeque. There are FABULOUS restaurants in the Fort Worth-Dallas area as well as Houston. Hopefully, for your next best list it will include restaurants from the midwest, southwest and deep south.
