Crystal's Short Cruises Offer More Luxury for Less

Luxury small-ship cruise line Seabourn is enhancing the benefits received to patrons who are members of the Seabourn Club. The luxury cruise line recently announced a major expansion of benefits for guests who return for another voyage on one of its the award-winning ships. Billy Casper to Host Crystal Golf Cruises in Europe 2012

Crystal Cruises has lined up 10 of Europe's championship golf courses for its Experiences of Discovery golf-themed cruises this summer. PGA Tour golfer Bill Casper will host the golfing cruises, where travelers can tee-off in countries such as Spain, Portugal, and Monaco during the Crystal Serenity voyage on July 13, 2012. Vacationers also can play on championship golf courses on the British Isles on Crystal Symphony's sailing on August 25, 2012. "We design these cruises to be a golfing traveler's dream," says John Stoll, Crystal's VP of land and port operations. Viking River Cruises to Acquire Two New Ocean Cruise Ships

Viking Ocean Cruises and ocean cruise ship builder Fincantieri have reached an agreement for the construction of two cruise ships. The signing of the deal is imminent, according to a statement issued by Viking. Late 2014 is the delivery date of the first ship. The delivery of the second ship is set for the same time in 2015. There is also an option for a third vessel to be added to the contract. Each of the new ocean cruise ships will accommodate 998 passengers with 499 cabins. Celebrity Cruises Broadcast 2012 Olympics Live from London

Celebrity Cruises has obtained the rights to broadcast the 2012 Olympic games from London live onboard its fleet of luxury cruisers. From the opening to the closing ceremonies of the XXX Olympiad, July 27 to August 12, the 26 sports events of the summer games will air. Additionally, there also will be rebroadcasts of the events at more convenient times available as well. The Olympic competions or events will be viewable in staterooms and suites as well as the bar and lounge areas of the ships. The exact broadcast times of specific events will be listed in Celebrity ships’ daily newsletter. There is one exception. No  broadcasts will be available onboard the Celebrity Xpedition, which sails the Galapagos Islands year round.... Read More
